Variety in experiences
Itinerary
Day 1: Puerto Natales We start at 3pm at the airport in Puerto Natales, the closest city to Torres del Paine. We will be transported to the nearby hotel where we will have our welcome dinner, officially starting this Photo Expedition.
Day 2: Getting closer to Torres del Paine After breakfast we will have time to stroll along the boardwalk. With some luck we will be able to photograph the black-necked swan and other birds. We will then approach the Torres del Paine National Park, stopping at several viewpoints, with our final destination at our next four star hotel on the outskirts of the park. We will have an afternoon to relax with the introductory talk and an excellent viewpoint for the sunset.
Day 3: Navigating Glacier Grey We take advantage of the sunrise from the same viewpoint, before entering the National Park and sailing among the icebergs of Grey Lake, approaching the glacier. Then we will settle in our third hotel, positioned in the best location of the park, being our base for the next four nights.
Day 4 and 5: Pumas y landscapes These two days we will be guided by a professional team all day long in search of Pumas. Sure we will see other wildlife such as guanacos surrounded unique landscapes. These will be long days in the field, patience will surely reward us with incredible images.
Day 6: Corners of Paine For both sunrise and sunset we will be in ideal locations to photograph this beautiful mountain range. During the day we will hike for about one hour, passing by a waterfall and different angles and compositions of the main mountain range.
Day 7: Saying goodbye to Torres del Paine On our last day we will get up early to capture the Milky Way over the Cordillera Paine. After breakfast we return to Puerto Natales with spontaneous photo stops. Our farewell lunch will be in Puerto Natales, before ending this Photo Expedition at the airport at 3pm, coordinated with the flight schedule to Santiago.
Depending on the weather there may be some variations in the itinerary. The two days of the Puma are not flexible.
